ABOUT GEBER
Known by the west as Geber, Abu Musa Jabir Al Hayyan was a prominent polymath: a chemist and alchemist, astronomer and astrologer, engineer, geographer, philosopher, physicist, and pharmacist and physician. Born in the year 751, he is known as the father of chemistry due to his vast contribution to the field. With the spirit of Jabir Al Hayyan as the background of our establishment, Geber Technology Sdn Bhd was incorporated to provision in the field of resource recovery management. Our aim is to offer clients value for money services through our aspiration and commitment to transform the industry by providing waste management services in a cradle-to-cradle cycle.
In a cradle-to-cradle cycle, materials are perpetually circulated in a closed loop, which maximizes material value without damaging ecosystems. Adopting the “Best Practicable Environmental Policy”, we constantly researches for new technologies and collaborates with higher learning institutions towards a continuous improvement. Our key market includes oil and gas, petrochemical, agro-chemical, oleochemical and agriculture. At Geber Technology, we believe in the value of resources. By optimizing our resources, we seek to maximize in servicing service our clients’ for the mutual benefit of our organization, our clients, the environment and the society.

MISSION STATEMENT
We are business organization providing waste management services. We are committed to transformation and maximization of the value of material resources. Our purpose is to serve the industry towards the betterment of the environment and society as a whole.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Economic growth and industrialization has lead to production of huge volume of waste and pollutants. In order to safeguard the environment and human health protection, the Malaysian government has resolve various acts, regulations and orders resulting from the establishment of the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974. Legislative requirements are continuously revised, addressed and enforced to implement proper waste management systems throughout the industries resulting effective hazardous waste management in Malaysia.
Lack of experience in the field of resource recovery has resulting ineffective waste management, which indirectly, burdens the corporation with high cost in treatments and disposal of waste. Ironically, part of the waste disposed has the potentiality to be recovered and reuse. Hence, with thorough study of the process flow and market knowledge, one will be able to reduce the disposing and treatment cost, or even transform the waste into one of its revenue stream.
Geber Technology Sdn Bhd was established with the aim to support the industry through bridging the gap by sustainable waste management or we call it sustainable resource recovery management.

RESOURCE RECOVERY MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION
In investigating and developing solution to maximizing the potential resource recovery and minimizing waste generation, our method is developed based on the Waste Management Hierarchy and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
The aim of Waste Management Hierarchy, which was introduced by the European Union Waste Framework Directive in 1975, is to extract the maximum practical benefits from products and to generate the minimum amount of waste. The proper application of the waste hierarchy can have several benefits. It can help prevent emissions of greenhouse gases, reduces pollutants, save energy, conserves resources, create jobs and stimulate the development of green technologies.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), on the other hand, is a technique to assess environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a product's life from raw material extraction through materials processing, manufacture, distribution, use, repair and maintenance, and disposal or recycling. The goal of LCA is to compare the full range of environmental effects assignable to products and services by quantifying all inputs and outputs of material flows and assessing how these material flows affect the environment.
Sustainable waste management encourages the generation of less waste, the re-use of consumables, and the recycling and recovery of waste that is produced. Hence, with proper techniques, working principles, operational experience and associates in the industry we opt to provide the best scheduled-waste management options at the most optimize cost and most importantly, without compromising the health and safety of the environment.
The Waste Hierarchy
IN-SITU INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICE
For clients with operation difficulties in managing scheduled waste generated, Geber Technology is able to provide an in-situ integrated services, where our manpower shall support in the waste handling including but not limited to packing, drumming, palletizing, transferring, transporting until final treatment or recovery process. Currently, we have become agents to a number of Department of Environment (DOE) licensed waste recovery facilities, which include the following categories:
No SW Code Description
1. SW202 Spent Catalyst
2. SW204 Sludge containing one or several
metals.
3. SW206 Spent Inorganic Acids
4. SW305 Spent Lubricating Oil
5. SW306 Spent Hydraulic Oil
6. SW307 Spent mineral oil-water emulsion
7. SW310 Sludge from mineral oil storage tank
8. SW314 Oily Sludge from oil refinery plant
maintenance
9. SW322 Waste of non-halogenated organic
solvents
10. SW323 Waste of halogenated organic
solvents
11. SW401 Spent alkalis containing heavy metals
12. SW409 Disposed containers, bags, or
equipment contaminated.
13. SW410 Contaminated rags, plastics, papers
or filters .
14. SW411 Spent activated carbon excluding
carbon
15. SW414 Spent aqueous alkaline solution
containing cyanide
Apart from collecting and processing scheduled waste from the above categories, we also able support clients in regards to industrial waste that is not associated with DOE regulations such as agriculture waste, palm oil waste, and oleochemical waste.
Finally, Geber Technology shall issue the Certificate of Liability Annulment, which eliminate the clients from being liable in regards to the scheduled waste collected as soon as it reaches any particular licensed scheduled waste processing facility.
RESOURCE RECOVERY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Geber Resource Recovery Research and Development Department is working closely with University Malaysia of Pahang (UMP) in finding solutions or potential reusing application in regards to the waste generated by the clients. We also have close relationship with various labs and companies across the globes that are committed to resource recovery. This will enable us to have various options in reusing any particular potential waste without further damaging the environment.
